The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System and requires a Principal Engineer Network – Network Engineer III to support the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred
  • Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application
  • A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start
  • Must possess firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
  • Must know UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network architectures
  • Must be proficient with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
  • Must have skills in network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • learning, planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites
  • providing assistance as needed
  • traveling to remote locations to install networks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver status updates to Program personnel
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Visio
  • Must excel and do your best work in a collaborative and Agile environment
  • Must understand network design, development, and testing methodologies
  • Must be familiar with the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF

Other

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs at alternative work locations
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills
  • Must excel and do your best work in a collaborative and Agile environment
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university is preferred
