The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System and requires a Principal Engineer Network – Network Engineer III to support the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders across strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Requirements
- Must understand network design, development, and testing methodologies
- Must know the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF
- Must possess skills in network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Must know firewalls in: Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto
- Must understand UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs
- Must know multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
- A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start
Responsibilities
- Must be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio
- Must thrive and perform your best in a collaborative and agile environment
- Travel to remote locations to perform network installations, troubleshoot issues, and provide status updates to Program personnel
- Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites
- Assist where needed
- Perform network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Understand network design, development, and testing methodologies

- Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Network Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred
