Nutanix is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the technical vision, architectural strategy, and innovation roadmap for Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) to empower enterprises to manage, optimize, and secure their cloud environments through one integrated platform.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable management and automation systems for hybrid multicloud environments.
- Proven expertise in full-stack observability, automation solutions, and IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) models.
- Strong technical knowledge of Kubernetes, FinOps, and network security compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in architecting complex projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with proficiency in navigating intricate technical challenges.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Vision: Define and execute the technical roadmap for Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM), aligning innovations with product goals and customer needs.
- Technology Innovation: Research, identify, and integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance automation, observability, security, and financial operations (FinOps) capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with product management, UX, and engineering teams to develop cohesive solutions that meet market demands.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and encouraging professional growth.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and advocate for best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment to ensure reliable product delivery.
- Performance Metrics: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for NCM's success, measuring impact on scalability and reliability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams and stakeholders.
