Northrop Grumman is looking for a Principal Quality Engineer to join their team in Baltimore, MD to work on a dynamic and exciting program within the Northrop Grumman Corporation portfolio, specifically to be a combat sensors program quality engineer responsible for the overall quality for a subsystem and product submittals.
Requirements
- Experience working in a Quality environment
- Experience working with external suppliers
- Experience presenting status of quality issues to internal management and external customers
- Experience contributing to Corrective Action Board (CAB)
- Experience interpreting factory and process metrics to recommend improvements or guide SRR reduction activity
- Experience with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility
- Experience with SAP
Responsibilities
- leading the program team, factory teams and external suppliers through RCCA efforts for any quality issues related to your subsystem
- performing or assuring quality, drawing interpretations, data trending analysis, and maintainability of program requirements
- visiting various suppliers to ensure hardware and document compliance and inspections
- evaluating whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution of all phases of the program
- demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
- specializing in the areas of design, incoming material and inspections, production control, product evaluation and reliability, auditing, and inventory control as they apply to product or process quality
- dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- On-site support required (not a remote work position)
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality and/or manufacturing
