Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Engineer, Software Engineering to address challenges in developing, coordinating, and conducting complex tests and debug control and diagnostic systems, as well as ensuring smooth operations on software engineering activities for product and commercial software.
Requirements
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience performing thread trace and trace gap analysis and applying DO-178 standards to develop and certify code for commercial aerospace applications.
- Must possess at least 3 years of experience applying industry and regulatory standards such as DO-178B/C, SAE ARP4754A, and/or AS9100D to design and development projects.
- Must possess at least 2 years of Requirements Management experience with DOORS and JAMA.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience with Atlassian Development Tools, e.g., JIRA.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience supporting customer audits, CMMI Appraisals, and AS9100D audits.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate and conduct complex tests and debug control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other project team members in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to ensure smooth operations on software engineering activities.
- Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and function.
- Recommend changes in the selection and application of software production components to improve and develop software engineering activities.
- Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
Other
- Must work in the Melbourne, FL office Monday through Thursday and every other Friday.
