Requirements
- 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and building scalable systems capable of handling millions of requests per day.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience applying AI to real-world product scenarios highly preferred.
- Track record of rapid iteration, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ~10 full stack engineers, driving technical vision and execution for SharePoint AI Intranet experiences.
- Set direction and provide hands-on guidance in architecture, design, and delivery of AI-powered features at massive scale.
- Champion fast iteration, experimentation, and data-driven decision making to accelerate learning and impact.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to define and deliver high-value solutions for Intranet owners.
- Stay at the frontier of AI (LLMs, multimodal, retrieval, agents) and the competitive landscape; synthesize insights into data-backed recommendations that improve quality, latency, safety, and cost.
- Make pragmatic model/infra choices (model selection, RAG vs. fine-tuning/LoRA, caching/batching, distillation) to balance quality, latency, and cost at SharePoint scale.
