Requirements

• Experience in modern Java (Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot) development
• Experience with front end frameworks (especially Angular)
• A working knowledge of relational databases
• A working knowledge of application deployment and runtime operations in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment
• Experience with Java middle tier application development and programming especially with RESTful Web Services (Java, Spring, Junit)
• Experience with at least one front-end framework (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
• Familiarity with Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, Github, Docker

Responsibilities

• craft, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity’s Treasurer’s Office user experience
• provide guidance and mentoring to more junior Engineers within the wider Finance and Fund Oversight (FFO) technology chapter
• develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
• enforce standards across a team
• mentoring less senior Engineers

Other

• BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with designing and building large scale web applications
• Experience in a financial services application domain or other heavily regulated industry
• Strong critical thinking skills coupled with a desire to learn and engage with peers in technical and design discussion
• Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners and business partners
