Fidelity is seeking a Principal Full-Stack Software Engineer to support bond portfolio management and trading products, and to build new and innovative tools that will support and improve investment processes for the Fixed Income trading floor.

Requirements

• Experience with UI tech stack/Single Page Applications : HTML, JavaScript and Angular
• Experience in Micro Frontend architecture, including modular design, independent deployment strategies
• Deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, Spring framework, Oracle, messaging technologies (EMS or KAFKA) RESTful APIs and web containers
• Full-stack software development knowledge and critical thinking skills to craft end-to-end solutions
• Familiarity with developing and running software on cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services
• Experience with REST/API, PL/SQL, and Kafka
• Understanding of and experience within an Agile/Scrum framework

Responsibilities

• Deliver time-to-market solutions, helping business partners use technology in an exploratory, highly iterative environment
• Help our investment teams evolve their investment processes, to meet both short-term needs and long-term trends, through the use of technology
• Collaborate with Architecture, Data Services and other Technology Teams to improve the performance and scalability of our applications and workflows
• Provide outstanding support, including rotational on-call support
• Partner closely with our investment team on the Fixed Income trading floor, and interact directly with quant analysts, portfolio managers, traders and portfolio and research analysts to build new and innovative tools
• Craft end-to-end solutions using full-stack software development knowledge and critical thinking skills
• Develop Angular based user interfaces and Java based middle tier services

Other

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering; 2+ years of experience as a technical lead
• Self-motivated, driven, and have a strong client focus and results-orientated approach
• Ability to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office
• Adherence to Fidelity’s business governance and regulatory requirements
