Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is seeking to modernize and build new capabilities in the cloud for their Stock Plan Services (SPS) business unit, which administers equity compensation programs.
Requirements
- 15+ years of demonstrable experience in full stack programming building scalable web applications
- Solid experience with java spring based frameworks and libraries preferably Spring boot
- Working with public cloud and cloud based technologies with Microsoft Azure preferred
- Hands on experience working with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Service Bus
- Building applications working with databases like Oracle, Postgres etc.
- Experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture
- Experience designing and developing applications in microservices architecture
Responsibilities
- Leverage modern agile development practices and architecture patterns.
- Modernizing all the capabilities and building new capabilities in the cloud.
- Building applications working with databases like Oracle, Postgres etc.
- Experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture
- Understanding and experience working with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins
- Experience with software application testing approaches and tools like jUnit, Cucumber, Selenium
- Experience with Chaos Testing and other SRE practices for building highly resilient cloud based software applications

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
- Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement via collaboration and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer needs and transactions
- Experience guiding and leading other junior engineers on sound design and engineering practices
- Ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns
