Requirements
- Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Server, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
- Experience with Server architecture and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Linux Desktops, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- In-depth working experience in Linux Server
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise / Microsoft Windows and environment.
- Experience troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Design, develop and deploy Red Hat Podman containers.
- Experience with Server, Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, RAID, backup and server replication methods.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Experience documenting and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Other
- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Full time 100% Onsite position.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
