Requirements

  • Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Server, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
  • Experience with Server architecture and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Linux Desktops, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • In-depth working experience in Linux Server
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise / Microsoft Windows and environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Design, develop and deploy Red Hat Podman containers.
  • Experience with Server, Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, RAID, backup and server replication methods.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Experience documenting and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Other

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Full time 100% Onsite position.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
