US Foods is looking to drive advancements in AI and Generative AI by developing industry-leading AI solutions, and the Principal Machine Learning Engineer will serve as a key technical leader to help solve this problem.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience with ML frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud computing, data processing, API development, ML Ops, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and coding languages
- Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum, version control (Git), SQL/NoSQL, orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster), and serverless technologies
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI including a proven track record delivering projects from conception to production
- Deep understanding of ML and Deep Learning algorithms, ML system design and architecture, model development lifecycle, and distributed computing
- Experience with experimentation, A/B tests, and causal inference
- AWS cloud computing preferred
- Python coding language preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee development and deployment of ML pipelines and infrastructure, including applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI
- Stay current on state-of-the-art methods and technologies; identify opportunities for innovation that pushes limits and helps drive step-change in our growth, productivity, and customer experience
- Mentor and develop our ML Ops and Engineering talent while leveling-up our ML production capabilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in breakthrough AI/ML innovations
- Collaborate with ML Ops and Data Science teams, Digital and Technology teams, and business stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned by manager
