Raytheon is seeking a Principal Platform / Cloud Architect to ensure the successful delivery of a Private Cloud Infrastructure for one of its premier programs, focusing on cloud resource optimization and cost model savings.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and services: Familiarity AWS
- Cloud Architecture and Design: Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, including network architecture, security, and high availability
- Experience with DevOps practices: Understanding of automation, infrastructure as code, and other DevOps principles
- Experience with cloud migration: Knowledge of migrating applications and data to the cloud
- Experience with containerization and orchestration: Familiarity with technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with database administration: Knowledge of database systems and their deployment in the cloud
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or other scripting languages
Responsibilities
- You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of DevOps solutions.
- Design and implement automation and orchestration solutions.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions.
- Identifying and facilitating execution of cost-savings opportunities through resource optimization, instance sizing, and computer savings plans
- Establish and document best practices / cost optimization
- Collaboration with component architects and chief architects to design cost-efficient solutions
- Interface with program leadership on cost optimization strategies

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- TS/SCI without Polygraph
- Communication and collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts
- Requires current CompTIA Sec+ (or equivalent) Certification within 90 days of onboarding.
