Baker Hughes is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead and motivate others to deliver successful solutions for business and customers, driving business growth and making a difference to the company's operations in the energy technology sector.
Requirements
- Applying Mechanical Engineering principles combining physics, chemistry, and mathematics with materials science to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.
- Understanding core disciplines: mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aerodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
- Leveraging CAD, CAM, and product lifecycle management tools to create and analyze industrial equipment or processes such as fluid transport, liquid/gas compression, combustion, and heating/cooling systems.
Responsibilities
- Delivering engineering and scientific efforts related to the design of new products and services and new designs for customer projects.
- Leading delivery of projects through design, verification, production, and commercialization stages.
- Coordinating closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed.
- Performing rotor dynamic analysis.
- Performing electrical design tasks.
- Resolving customer issues.
- Providing shop troubleshooting, including on-site visits when local personnel cannot resolve issues.
