Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing products, with a strong portfolio that showcases end-to-end thinking and standout visual design
- Experience in travel, marketplaces, lifestyle, or content-driven experiences is a major plus
- Expert in crafting systems and experiences that scale across platforms and user needs
- Fluent in modern design and prototyping tools
- AI-augmented design experience is a strong advantage
- Curious, optimistic, and excited to solve complex problems in elegant, user-first ways
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting strategy, and making decisions with confidence
Responsibilities
- Lead the design strategy and execution for Yahoo Travel products across web and mobile platforms
- Craft experiences that are immersive, accessible, and deeply aligned with the emotional journey of travel
- Drive the visual and interaction design direction with precision—bringing strong layout, typography, hierarchy, and storytelling to every detail
- Collaborate with product and engineering partners to align design vision with business and technical goals
- Work closely with user research and data science to turn insights into meaningful product direction
- Influence and inspire other designers through critique, mentorship, and shared systems thinking
- Partner with leadership to define long-term product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the travel category
