Mailchimp's mission is to help small and mid-sized businesses grow through better marketing, data, and automation. Audience Management sits at the heart of that mission, giving customers a unified view of their contacts so they can segment, personalize, and activate marketing campaigns across every channel. The Principal Product Manager, AI for Audience Management will own the end-to-end strategy that turns raw audience data from hundreds of integrations into AI-powered recommendations, predictions, and autonomous agents.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years shipping AI Agents or AI/ML-driven Consumer and SaaS products at scale.
- Demonstrated success guiding 0→1 and 1→n products from concept to global launch—owning strategy, execution, and post-launch growth.
- Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI engineering concepts such as vector databases; able to converse fluently with data scientists and engineers.
- Proven track record driving measurable impact through experimentation, cohort analysis, and data-informed decision making.
- Bonus: Experience with Vibe coding and building your own prototypes with AI.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end AI product vision to transform customer data into actionable recommendations, UI experiences, predictions, and autonomous agents that SMBs can trust and use every day.
- Craft delightful, AI-native UI experiences – Partner with Design, User Research and Front-End Engineering to turn complex AI capabilities into simple, intuitive interfaces; prototype rapidly, validate with users, and ship polished end-to-end flows that make advanced AI feel effortless.
- Translate customer problems and business goals into clear product requirements; run discovery, define use-cases, and prioritize features that unlock measurable value for millions of Mailchimp users.
- Partner daily with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Research, and Marketing to prototype, iterate, and ship AI-native experiences that are intuitive, privacy-safe, and performance-driven.
- Lead experimentation at scale: design A/B tests, analyze results, and double-down on insights to drive adoption, engagement, and revenue lift.
- Build and nurture cross-functional alignment, presenting strategy and progress to executive leadership while synthesizing feedback from Sales, Support, and Customer Success.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or M.S.) is a plus.
