NetApp is looking to build products, solutions, and drive strategic initiatives across its cloud storage portfolio to help customers turn data challenges into business opportunities and realize new business possibilities.
Requirements
- Must be hands-on and deeply technical with the ability to confidently demonstrate products to various stakeholders and test products to provide feedback to engineering
- Must be able to gather, organize, crunch, and analyze customer and partner data to determine product feature uptake/adoption/non-adoption reasons.
- Building SaaS products or fully managed services from scratch.
- A thorough understanding of public cloud (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) storage services and data storage/ data management fundamentals.
- Deep understanding of how cloud marketplaces work and how to monetize products and services using those
- Practitioner of working backwards framework for building a new service/feature/functionality.
- Knowledgeable about modern compute paradigms including Kubernetes, containers, and micro VMs.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new offerings from ideation to launch working with cross-functional teams that include engineering, customer success, professional services, sales, and marketing.
- Drive initiatives to bring new workloads to NetApp first-party cloud storage portfolio and help accelerate the migration of such workloads from on-premises and other cloud storage services.
- Work with modern cloud and container orchestration technologies in a production setting.
- Play an important role in scaling systems sustainably through automation and evolving them by pushing for changes to improve reliability and velocity.
- Build products, solutions, and drive strategic initiatives across NetApp first-party and third party cloud storage portfolio that includes Azure NetApp Files, FSxN for NetApp ONTAP, Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and NetApp Instaclustr.
- Follow a working backwards from the customer approach to build and launch products and services from scratch, partnering with engineering teams, sales (pre and post), customer success, professional services teams, and other stakeholders to deliver products and services that delights customers.
- Ideate new concepts that can be productized to accelerate revenue growth for the cloud storage business.

- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Must be able to deal with ambiguity and make abstract ideas concrete.
- Must be an inspirational product leader - must be able to motivate, inspire, and excite teams around a product vision.
- Prior experience working on enterprise storage especially cloud storage is preferred
- 4-year BA/BS mandatory, in computer science, data science, electrical engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
