GDIT is seeking a Principal Product Owner to support federal civilian agencies by providing services that help the government ensure the well-being of U.S. citizens. The role involves supporting complex and high-volume customer systems by capturing user stories and leading scrum teams, including backlog management and sprint planning.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience capturing and writing User Stories
- Minimum of three years of experience in a system engineering or software application environment
- Experience working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or Agile/Iterative software development methodology including Scrum environment
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Experience with Jira
Responsibilities
- Experience in communicating and working with stakeholders to translate the business vision into actionable requirements
- Excellent requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation skills
- Ability to create business and technical process and data flow diagrams
- Ability to create clearly defined requirements as Epics and Features
- Ability to create clearly defined user stories
- Manage and lead the product development process
- Manage and prioritize backlog items and optimizing the value of the product(s)
