Leidos is seeking a Principal Python AI/ML Developer to support the Corporate Discovery Services mission, focusing on rapid prototyping, new development, and advanced technology research to provide innovative solutions for the customer's Operations organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Python (i.e. SciKit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), R, GIT and experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
- Ability to provide database administration for relational databases and TensorFlow.
- Experience with machine learning models, including integration, reference, inference, and consolidation of data.
- Proficiency in augmenting, providing context, and/or fine-tuning large language models for generative tasks using approaches such as but not limited to, retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and model context protocol (MCP).
- Experience with data wrangling, dataflow engineering, and model development.
- Knowledge of diverse architecture and methods for prototype development.
- Experience with database administration, dataflow engineering, and model development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with customers to enable acceleration to evaluate and tune machine learning models’ ability to integrate, reference, make inferences and consolidate data into a holistic view.
- Creatively write and evolve prototype techniques leveraging diverse architecture and methods.
- Provide database administration, dataflow engineering, data wrangling, and model development.
- Capture requirements and create innovative prototypes and deploy solutions to evaluate and tune machine learning models.
- Work closely with mission stakeholders to capture requirements and create innovative prototypes and deploy solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models using Python, R, and other relevant technologies.
- Provide database administration for relational databases and TensorFlow.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field plus a minimum of eleven (11) plus years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
