Collins Aerospace is seeking to solve quality assurance challenges in the design, development, and manufacturing of aerospace ejection seating products, ensuring reliability and compliance with stringent industry standards.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
- expert knowledge of Model Based Definition prints and review at Receiving Inspection
- Expert knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing, CNC machining and Special Processing
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Continuous Improvement and creating Inspection Plans
Responsibilities
- Develop, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols
- Work with designs and specifications, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product
- Ensure that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts
- Identify and manage risk in product development (primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) core elements e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
- Develop and implement proactive quality strategies
- Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action(s)
- Design and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience in a manufacturing and QA environment
