Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer (Level 3) to join their Launch Vehicles' Quality team in Chandler, AZ, to ensure quality standards are met for materials and products within their revolutionary systems.
Requirements
- Experience working with TipQa, MES, and CostPoint software
- Experience investigating failures and identifying root cause on flight hardware.
- Able to implement Kaizan strategies
- Knowledge of Northrop Grumman's manufacturing process.
- Certified in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies
- Manufacturing process knowledge a plus.
- Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Work with Engineering test sets and ensure proper Quality standards are in place to process hardware.
