Northrop Grumman is seeking to hire a Sr. Principal Mechanical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) Modeler and Librarian to develop and maintain libraries of component parts within common engineering design CAD tools, primarily focusing on mechanical parts within Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years experience modeling in NX or equivalent CAD tools
• Experience working with equipment design and/or MCAD/ECAD library maintenance and development
• Experience working with military or industry component part specifications or standards
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Background and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with Siemens Capital, Teamcenter, or Xpedition

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain libraries of component parts within common engineering design CAD tools
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, components, manufacturing, procurement and other engineering disciplines to support the design of weapon systems and equipment
• Demonstrate ability to develop part models for Mechanical CAD parts within NX and Teamcenter and maintain libraries
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware designers and/or product line engineers in design, development, and utilization of software to create a representation of components for the CAD tools component library
• Create and review library components, symbols, and cells in accordance with established NGC and industry guidelines meeting high levels of accuracy
• Work independently, and as part of a team, to provide innovative technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Develop MCAD/ECAD processes and documentation

• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Must have a Bachelors degree in science with 8 years experience or 6 years with a Master's or 4 years with a PhD, or additional 4 years in lieu of degree
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
• Must be able to work under general direction, and work well in teams
