Raytheon is looking for a Principal Signals Software Engineering to design, develop, optimize, and test systems using models to successfully satisfy the customer mission for their satellite ground systems team.
Requirements
Active and transferable TS/SCI with Polygraph U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date with the adjudication date less than three years ago from your starting date for this position.
Experience as a Signals Software Engineer (SSWE) or equivalent on a project with a focus on Radio Frequency (RF) to include experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signals analysis tools (e.g., Wigner-Ville transform (WVT), DVT), and digital signal processing (e.g., adaptive beamforming/ filtering, demodulation).
Experience with software defined radio architectures.
Experience in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, and Python.
Experience with satellite communication systems and ground systems.
Experience with commercial wireless standards
Experience with geolocation techniques
Responsibilities
Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate signal processing software with satellite ground systems.
Develop and implement algorithms for signal processing, including Fourier transforms, digital signal processing, and RF signal processing.
Analyze and optimize signal processing algorithms for improved performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing software.
Lead one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any project.
Follow established Software processes and procedures, development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts and requirements.

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience unless.
