Oracle is looking to solve complex problems in high availability cloud computing, specifically in the area of data protection and extreme scalability, using Oracle Data Guard, which creates and maintains one or more standby databases to protect business data from failures, disasters, human error, and data corruptions.
Requirements
- Proficient in C
- Java and SQL proficiency is a plus
- Familiar with relational database, operating system, and networking concepts
- Firm grasp of concurrent programming theory and practices
- Strong software engineering and debugging skills
Responsibilities
- Defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging Oracle Data Guard software
- Taking an active role in the definition and implementation of software solutions that protect customer's data for both Cloud and on-premises databases
- Developing software for high availability cloud computing
- Designing and debugging Oracle Data Guard software
- Conceiving of innovative ideas, building consensus around them, and delivering solutions in a timely fashion
- Solving complex problems under limited supervision
- Collaborating with strategic customers to research and solve both theoretical and practical problems
