Raytheon's Battle Management Software (BMS) Department in Ft. Wayne is looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer to provide world-class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for their customers' wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems.
Requirements
- Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C++ or Ada
- Experience with Script languages (C shell, Perl)
- Experience using debugging tools
- Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps
- Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year.
- Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Potential to travel to customer site (up to 50%) for software build install and test
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
