Omni Federal is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support an NGA project focused on modernizing geospatial-intelligence core services, making data accessible, discoverable, and deliverable to the Intelligence Community (IC) within secure cloud environments using agile development methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience in Python enterprise application development
- Experience building high-performance applications in React.js
- Web services architecture, design, and development
- Experience in PostgreSQL database design
- Experience working in AWS and utilizing specific AWS tooling (S3)
- Experience working with FastAPI/Flask
Responsibilities
- Designs, builds and operates data-rich applications leveraging advanced data modeling, machine learning and data visualization techniques
- Provide enterprise architectural, engineering, operations and sustainment, modification, and testing of geospatial-intelligence core services
- Utilizes secure cloud environments, and a modern agile development methodology making data accessible, discoverable, and deliverable to the IC
- Experience in Python enterprise application development
- Experience building high-performance applications in React.js
- Web services architecture, design, and development
- Experience in PostgreSQL database design
Other
- Active TS/SCI (or SCI eligibility)
- 15 years of experience in software engineering/development, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
- BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent technical degree.
- Candidates must be passionate, energized and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.
