The MeTA team under OneDrive and Sharepoint (ODSP) is looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer to build infrastructures and features for document processing, transformation, and enrichment at hyperscale. The role aims to design and deliver systems that enable partners and ISVs to migrate from other cloud providers, improve core systems performance and efficiencies, and ensure zero customer impact during change management. Additionally, the role will deliver systems for business continuity planning, provide telemetry for service optimization, and reduce the response time for detecting and resolving service issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C
- 6+ years of experience with cloud-scale services and server/service management features
- 6+ years of experience with building and designing cloud-scale infrastructure components
- Proficient in delivering and interacting with REST API’s and web services across multiple systems
- Proven coding, debugging, algorithm design and problem-solving skills
- Able to learn new systems quickly and adapt new methodologies to our service
- Keen interest and experience related to cloud scale distributed design and patterns

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
