Fidelity is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with mainframe technical skills to develop and maintain high volume production platforms in the FBSI Order Management System domain of the Trade Management Engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
  • Knowledge of MQ and Kafka messaging infrastructure technologies
  • Strong SQL experience
  • Experience with Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)
  • Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures
  • Mainframe development expertise
  • Knowledge of batch and online environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high volume production platforms in the FBSI Order Management System domain
  • Deploy and support software releases into production environments
  • Perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in batch and online environments
  • Employ data security skills to keep customers' information safe
  • Unit, functional and regression testing
  • Write COBOL/Native stored procedures
  • Work with Distributed Technologies

  • 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
  • Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
