The Azure Cost Management and Pricing team at Microsoft is looking to build intuitive user experiences and scalable APIs to empower millions of customers to make informed decisions about their cloud investments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of proficiency building scalable web applications or RESTful APIs.
- 5+ years of strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, TypeScript, or Python
- 5+ years of experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and asynchronous workflows
- Strong background in agent-based systems, workflow engines, or declarative programming models
- Experience with navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in early-stage platform development
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-facing experiences for Azure Cost Management, enabling customers to track cloud usage, analyze trends, and optimize efficiency.
- Build and maintain robust APIs that power cost management dashboards and integrate with other Azure services.
- Contribute to Azure Pricing + Calculators, including services like Cost Card, Pricing Calculator, and Microsoft Pricing Experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver seamless experiences on the Azure Marketing Site.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of services used by millions of users globally.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in building customer-facing products
- Ability to work with product and design teams to shape scalable abstractions and reference implementations
