Disney Experiences Technology is looking to solve the business and technical problem of developing and enhancing world-class immersive digital experiences for their premier vacation brands, specifically focusing on the Disneyland Ticketing Technology organization. This role will lead development efforts to improve and create new products for local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs, aiming to increase productivity and enhance the quality of software delivery through the adoption of generative AI platforms and solutions.
Requirements
- Deep experience within Java development and Services/MicroServices Architecture
- Validated experience with relational databases (MS SQL, AuroraDB) and monitoring/logging tools (e.g. Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics)
- Direct experience working within Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
- Experience leveraging generative AI technologies to increase productivity and enhance quality of software delivery
- Experience documenting designs using appropriate diagrams and tools
- Domain expertise in Ticketing/Entitlement Management systems
- Advanced knowledge of systems applications and hardware, server architecture, operating platforms, NAS/SAN technologies, and internet and web applications.
Responsibilities
- Own the analysis, design, delivery, and modifications of software improvements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs
- Contribute to the conception, design, development, testing, and implementation of software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications
- Initiate the testing and debugging of applications, using conceptual and innovative thinking to drive sophisticated, highly scalable solutions throughout the organization
- Lead projects that may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms
- Lead and influence the direction and prioritization of the design and development of highly scalable software systems and applications
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging technologies within your area of expertise to drive informed decision-making and recommendations
- Drive evaluation, adoption, and implementation of generative AI platforms/solutions to increase productivity in software delivery
