Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all by reshaping security and empowering users, customers, and developers with a security cloud. The company is building a platform to process, store, and analyze large volumes of data to provide a holistic understanding of the hybrid data estate, which is always kept up to date with automated data discovery and sensitive data classification. This platform will be used by teams working under CDOs, CIOs, CISOs, CROs, and CCOs to govern, protect, and manage data more effectively.
Requirements
- 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems delivering large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud services
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer/leader designing, implementing, and shipping cloud services or software products
Responsibilities
- build next generation security data platform
- partner with several teams in Microsoft Security and Azure organization to make architectural decisions in an ambiguous space
- develop of core services that form the foundation of the platform
- provisioning, flighting, billing, security, redundancy, and other fundamental capabilities of the platform
- building and operating high-scale distributed services in the cloud
- prototype solutions
- provide alternatives, and make calls in ambiguous situations

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
