Intuit T4I (Tech for Intuit) team is responsible for building Intuit’s core capabilities surrounding enterprise Workforce, People and Places technologies. The team needs an experienced Principal Software Engineer to drive software architecture, design, and engineering activities, and establish advanced Operational Excellence practices for Digital Workforce and Digital People management capabilities.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development (AWS, GCP).
- Expertise in at least one major programming language, backend engineering (e.g., Java, Python).
- Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and evolution of complex distributed software systems.
- Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for AI Agents and software development on a complex technology stack including in-house developed capabilities, 3rd Party technologies and SaaS platforms.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Drive the selection and adoption of new technologies and frameworks including Agentic capabilities.
- Drive patterns that involve integration of data, applications, services, AI agents and Experiences.
- Lead and contribute to the development of critical software components with hands on builder skills.
- Implement and optimize monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health, scale and performance.
