Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks to develop software for an Army Air Defense System that includes defense against manned aircraft; rockets, artillery, and mortars; unmanned aerial systems (UAS); and cruise missile defense.
Requirements
- Understanding of software design principles and proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (any combination of Java, C, C++)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience with Ada programming language
- Experience managing daily software builds
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems to process messages and maintain force structure, track management, and battlefield geometry data
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; ensures software standards are met
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (and 5 years of relevant experience in Object Oriented Languages (OOL); or 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD) or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered
- Hold or able to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
