Fidelity is looking to solve the problem of building and maintaining web applications using Python, Oracle, Snowflake, JavaScript, or REST APIs in a wealth management domain.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing RESTful Web services, using PL/SQL to implement Data as a Service (DAAS) frameworks within an Oracle environment;
  • DE supporting quantitative analysts in the development, modeling, research, and building of Python and R-based packages using Object-Oriented Programming.
  • DE designing, developing, and supporting data-driven solutions and data warehouses, using Oracle, Snowflake, AWS, and Python.
  • DE deploying distributed financial reporting applications for application build and release management on Docker/Rancher, Jenkins, GIT Stash, uDeploy, and Artifactory, Maven.
  • Experience building and maintaining Web applications using Python, Oracle, Snowflake, JavaScript, or REST APIs in a wealth management domain.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, indexes, and data service development tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based environments -- Amazon Web Services (AWS), GCP, and Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Working onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture.
  • Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
  • Must be able to pass a background check due to the company's governance by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and other regulations.
