Fidelity is looking to solve business and technical problems in the financial services industry by developing and delivering application functionality, enhancing existing features, and fixing software bugs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing full stack development -- building and maintaining highly scalable and secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud native Web Applications and Services for front and back-end systems, using programming languages (Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3), application frameworks (Spring Boot and NgRx), application architectures (Micro Services, Single Page Apps, and Monorepo), and databases (Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and AWS DynamoDB).
- DE building and maintaining complex, mission-critical rules engines using Python and data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy); and providing test automation to ensure the rules engine performs as expected, using testing frameworks (pytest and unittest).
- DE performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) of build, deploy, and test processes (of mission-critical Spring Boot and Angular applications) using tools (Jenkins Core, Sonar, and GitHub) and test automation frameworks (Junit, Karma, Cucumber, Karate, and Cypress).
- DE building highly scalable and secure cloud native applications using AWS Cloud technologies -- AWS S3, EKS, EC2, AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, SQS, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Responsibilities
- Participates in architecture design teams.
- Defines and implements application level architecture.
- Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
- Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
- Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and creating FinTech systems in the financial services industry.
- Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and creating FinTech systems in the financial services industry.
- Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
