- 10+ years of experience developing large-scale internet software, preferably in infrastructure-focused roles.
- 8+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure systems such as Kubernetes and AWS/GCE ecosystems.
- Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages, including Go, Python, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Experience influencing technical direction and best practices in large organizations (500+ engineers).
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including design, product, and data teams.
- Deep focus on usability, scalability, performance, and software quality.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in a service-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend software to improve compute infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers to build multi-cloud compute platforms and essential platform services.
- Automate critical infrastructure operations and service management tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to backend developers across the organization.
- Influence the strategic and technical direction of infrastructure systems.
- Troubleshoot and analyze complex infrastructure issues to ensure smooth operation of production workloads.
- Advocate for user experience, performance, and quality across services.
