Pratt & Whitney is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization to develop and certify military, commercial, and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. The Real-Time Embedded Systems discipline specifically needs engineers to develop the foundational software layer for engine control and prognostic/health management applications.
Requirements
- Hands on experience in the development and troubleshooting of safety critical embedded software on target processors
- Hands-on experience with multi-core processors
- Demonstrated experience with real-time operating systems
- Solid experience in C, Ada, assembly
- Experience in Python
- Familiarity with ARINC429, CAN bus and other communication protocols and the Ethernet communication stack
- Experience with software configuration management and defect tracking tools and agile methods
Responsibilities
- Author requirements, capture designs and write low-level software for embedded target processors in C language
- Debug software on target platform
- Perform hardware software integration testing
- Capture standard work
- Identify key process improvements to increase efficiency
- Mentor early career engineers
- Participate in stand-ups with CDS Product Managers
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years’ experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Present as needed to Component Integration Product Team (CIPT)
