The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is looking to solve complex technical challenges in building its next generation clearing, settlement, and portfolio management system, and paving the future of digital transformation in the capital markets industry
Requirements
- 10+ year of experience in building high speed, data-centric solutions
- Java 10+ years experience
- Experience with high speed distributed computing frameworks like FLINK, Apache Spark, Kafka Streams, etc
- Experience with distributed message brokers Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, etc
- Experience with cloud technologies and migrations. Experience preferred with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI and IAM etc
- Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud service providers like Amazon, Google
- Experience writing unit and integration tests with testing frameworks like Junit, Citrus
Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge building OCC’s next generation clearing, settlement, and portfolio management system, and paving the future of digital transformation in the capital markets industry
- Collaborating with others to deliver complex projects which may involve multiple systems
- Developing solutions to complex technical challenges while coding, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and documenting the systems you develop
- Recommending technologies and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of OCC’s systems and development processes
- Optimizing application performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning
- Continuously thinking about the next steps while improving yourself and others around you
- Delivering complex projects which may involve multiple systems
