The Azure Storage team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer Manager to build, manage, and run the persistent cloud storage for Microsoft Azure. This role involves architecting and optimizing a world-class distributed file system, focusing on the next generation storage platform built on storage servers with Data Processing Units (DPU). The goal is to ensure high availability, reliability, durability, and cost efficiencies for a hyperscale storage system that hosts data for major companies and Microsoft's online businesses.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Storage or File-Systems, Distributed Systems, Networking, Operating Systems, and/or Applications at scale.
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- solid foundation in data structures and algorithms, with problem solving, debugging and analytical skills.

Responsibilities
- Defines the strategy, designs/develops products and builds & grows the team.
- Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
- Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.

- Drive product roadmap and execution with clarity, including translating abstract problem statement into a high-quality product strategy and design
