Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Software Quality Analyst to implement software quality standards across multiple programs and ensure compliance with contract requirements, program planning, and company policies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of software development processes including Agile, Waterfall, and Spiral Development processes
- Knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python
- Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting
- Experience in process and product evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD Security Clearance
- ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditor
- Familiar with AS9102 and AS6500
Responsibilities
- Perform process audits of software development processes to assure compliance to established policies, procedures, work instructions, and program specific plans.
- Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation plans to assist program activities for processing software and materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Collaborate with software engineering and systems engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place and followed.
- Witness execution of software qualification and system acceptance tests to ensure tests are executed in accordance with approved test procedures, requirements are fully verified, and that all test procedure and software anomalies are documented and tracked to closure.
- Participation in Risk Management process and support to team in identification of risks or opportunities
- Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) review and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking to closure, reviewing/analyzing defect data, monitoring test problem report data, monitoring causal analysis and resolution
- Support fielded Major End Items (MEI) integration of hardware/software

- Must have 9 years of industry experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry in lieu of degree (high school diploma); Will consider: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years within Quality and Mission Assurance; or 3 years of experience with a Masters degree required.
- Must be able to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
