Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a SW development organization
- In-depth knowledge of optical network systems and L1 layer protocols
- Experience with QNX or Linux RTOS operating systems
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production and lab environments
- Understanding of coherent communication systems and forward error correction algorithms
- Experience with SDN technologies like OpenFlow or OpenStack
- Working knowledge of system control plane protocols such as OSPF, MPLS, and LDP
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems utilizing expertise in software systems and optical networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SW/FW/HW Engineering, Product Line Management, and Global Technical Support, to gather feature requirements.
- Drive efficient recovery efforts during critical outages.
- Contribute directly to the continuous improvement of software products.
- Analyze, develop, and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.
- Analyze situations or data that requires review of relevant factors.
- Analyze, design, develop and test products / services / improvements / bug resolutions for integrated hardware / software systems as per customers' requirements.

- Engineering degree or Master's in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
