Requirements
- Experience developing and implementing one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
- Experience performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Experience preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
- Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design.
- Experience interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering.
- Experience managing System Safety Working Group(s) between key Raytheon and Customer representatives.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing engineering software and/or firmware in accordance with MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, AOP-52, and other relevant standards.
- Working with software development teams to review and analyze embedded software code.
- Performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).
- Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through deployment to gain concurrence with software builds.
- Assist with Software and/or Firmware analyses.
- Participating in the execution of the Software System Safety Program.
- Interfacing with various stakeholders, including customers, program offices, subcontractors, and vendors.

- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
