Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principal Software Systems Engineer - IPT Lead to lead the development, certification, and maintenance of software systems for safety-critical commercial and military applications within the Athena Control Systems team.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Navigation, Controls, Sensor and Software for Embedded Systems development
- Experience with regulatory and certification requirements and processes such as DO-178
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and an understanding of their application in safety-critical systems
- Experience leading a team through the full software and system development cycle in a regulated industry, preferably with experience in embedded software projects
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and tools for product testing and calibration
- Ability to perform on multiple threads in parallel

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Provide project execution management including detail planning, cost account management, status and analysis
- Leading and managing the engineering bid and planning process for a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Collaborate across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on program goals, including regular interface with Value Stream Leadership and Engineering Management
