Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist, Global Trade to manage and support export/import licensing and compliance activities for the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) within the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. The role aims to facilitate international business by ensuring compliant and efficient transfers of technology, data, hardware, and services globally.
Requirements
- Experience researching and/or applying ITAR and EAR regulations
- Experience applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations
- Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE or similar Global Trade tools and/or systems
- Ability to maintain responsive and collaborative online presence throughout daily Team interactions and shared workflows
- Flexible, cooperative and collaborative to adapt to changing U.S. Government and customer requirements
- Problem solver to present recommendations to solve business challenges and address situations before issues arise
- Self-motivated and results oriented to make and drive decisions and work under time sensitive circumstances managing priorities of multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of export authorization strategies for the international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement, and manufacturing of defense and dual use articles.
- Prepare and submit quality export/import license applications, agreements, eligible exemptions/exceptions and other requests for USG approval.
- Provide export/import authorization status updates to leadership and capture/program teams.
- Provide consistent interpretation of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to Naval Power employees.
- Facilitate approvals for the physical export/import of hardware and other transactional activities involving controlled goods, information and services.
- Work with peers and stakeholders to determine and certify appropriate legal authority for exports of dual-use commodities and technology, defense articles; hardware, technical data and defense services, including determination of the appropriate export authorization, exemption, or exception.
- Review and approve technical and non-technical information, as needed prior to release to non-U.S. Persons.

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Minimal domestic travel - up to approximately once per quarter.
