Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Payload and Ground Systems Division (PGSD) is seeking multiple Embedded Operating System Software Developers to develop, enhance, and maintain software on cutting edge space products and systems for the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business unit.
Requirements
- Experience developing in C, C++, & Python
- Knowledge of FPGA VHDL Development and System on a Chip (SOC) hardware
- Experience with Bash and Linux scripting
- Experience with Linux embedded real-time OS development (Yocto)
- Experience with Microcontroller environments and development
- Experience with Zephyr development and deployment
- Experience in embedded C++ optimizations
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software on cutting edge space products and systems
- Working on and supporting sensor command and control (embedded systems)
- Working on and supporting sensor system test (command of test equipment and emulation) for a variety of Space platforms
- Work on an agile development team, primarily using C, C++, Python, and scripting in a Yocto build environment
- Work through all phases of the software development cycle including design, development, integration, and test
- Conduct reviews of software-related products, software designs, and additional technical documents
- Actively participate in technical, peer-reviews to ensure system/software requirements are being met from an end-to-end system point of view
