Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer Systems to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) efforts, which aims to deliver a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broaden surveillance and protection areas, transforming integrated missile defense capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in IBCS
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with Cameo or MagicDraw
- Proven ability to comprehend/develop/decompose System Architecture and System Requirements (from System Specifications high-level requirements to the lowest level) in a model-based environment
- Experience with Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change Proposals
- Proven ability to understand software systems interface documentation, interconnect diagrams, military standards
- Technical experience with IAMD: C2 with understanding of weapons, sensors, distributed computing and these systems' impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems
Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Perform analysis at all levels of total system product life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
