Northrop Grumman is looking for a Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer Systems to work on the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) efforts, which delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas.
Requirements
- Test and evaluation knowledge
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with Cameo or MagicDraw
- Proven ability to comprehend/develop/decompose System Architecture and System Requirements in a model-based environment
- Experience with Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change Proposals
- Technical experience with IAMD: C2 with understanding of weapons, sensors, distributed computing and these systems' impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems
- Experience with Jira
Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Perform analysis at all levels of total system product life cycle to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Comprehend/develop/decompose System Architecture and System Requirements (from System Specifications high-level requirements to the lowest level) in a model-based environment
- Conduct Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change Proposals
- Understand software systems interface documentation, interconnect diagrams, military standards

- Degree requirements: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD for Principal, 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 3 Years with PhD for Sr. Principal
- Must be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
