Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Software Engineer to join their team working on the Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) portfolio of programs. The role involves developing software for an Army Air Defense System to counter various threats including manned aircraft, rockets, artillery, mortars, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and cruise missiles.
Requirements
- Understanding of software design principles and proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (any combination of Java, C, C++)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Experience with Ada programming language
- Experience managing daily software builds
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems to process messages and maintain force structure, track management, and battlefield geometry data
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; ensures software standards are met
