Ensure the quality of tooling meets Northrop Grumman's quality standards and support the efficiency and effectiveness of tools used in production.
Requirements
- Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5) Dimensional Inspection Techniques
- Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings
- Experience and familiarity with product verification instruments including Laser tracker is a plus.
- Experience and familiarity with machine shop and weld shop practices is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Knowledge in reviewing and understanding customer certifications, specifications, contracts and purchasing requirements.
- Familiar with mechanical inspection techniques and tools
Responsibilities
- Evaluate tool designs for compliance to industry dimension and tolerancing standards.
- Evaluate design to determine manufacturability of tool design to produce an acceptable, functional tool.
- Create and provide accurate Tool Inspection Records to various organizations so that tools meet engineering requirements.
- Concur with tooling review board dispositions for tooling non-conformances.
- Coordinate, identify tooling non-conformance history, and communicate trends.
- Provide and support tooling nonconformance analysis and associated processes.
- Review Supplier data package for accuracy completeness.
