Target is looking to improve and innovate its digital experiences for guests, team members, and partners, and is seeking a Principal Product Designer to shape the NorthStar and experience strategy for the guest's experience with the loyalty program.
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in UX and product design, coupled with adeptness in organizing, planning, and taking ownership of the design process
- Expert proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
- Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
- Strong experience collaborating with and delivering presentations to executive leadership, employing effective storytelling techniques
- You are an expert in communicating how design connects to, serves, and improves the business
- Experienced product designer with 10+ years of relevant product design work
- You possess expert strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Set UX strategy and vision for product experience across digital platforms – influencing investment, collaborations, and the balance of new vs. iteration
- Drive strategy for, and creation of, design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
- Champion both qualitative and quantitative research methods in design decisions and rationale
- Influence and advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
- Support the development of junior product designers and contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target
- Navigate complexity and ambiguity while delivering impact for guests and the business
- Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, content, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design

- 10+ years of relevant product design work
- Strong experience collaborating with and delivering presentations to executive leadership, employing effective storytelling techniques
- Ability to work in a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement
- Ability to travel to HQ up to 4 times a year
- Must be eligible to work in the country of the primary work location
