Requirements
- 5+ years experience with background in privacy
- 5+ years experience with generative ai, location, sensor data (e.g. camera, audio, motion)
- Strong technical background and ability to communicate complex technical, logical, or process issues in a timely, concise, and objective manner
- Demonstrated ability to make considered recommendations for trade-offs in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience with Differential Privacy
- Experience with Wi-Fi MAC address randomization
- Experience with on-device processing and machine learning
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Privacy Engineers that support Apple’s promise of “great features and privacy” through reviewing features, crafting architecture, and working with teams to build new features to protect user privacy
- Identify privacy risks, design architectures and mitigations that reduce the exposure of user data
- Partner with other engineering teams to design and deliver the next generation of privacy preserving features
- Provide and scale privacy analysis, mentorship, and expertise across many Apple feature areas
- Guide technical direction for your team, improve internal processes, and lead efforts with other engineering teams
- Work with teams to build new features to protect user privacy - from Wi-Fi MAC address randomization to Differential Privacy
- Lead efforts with other engineering teams, as well as Legal, Security, Product Marketing, and Human Interface
